Success - Business Chambers Award
What an amazing last couple of months I have had. Recently I was selected as a finalist in Excellence in Business Ethics at the annual Wagga Wagga Business Chambers Crow Awards. These awards aim to:
- Recognise and reward outstanding businesses in Wagga Wagga
- Encourage businesses to aspire for excellence within the community
- Acknowledge outstanding contributions by business leaders
- Promote Wagga Wagga through various business networks.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner and I had the honour of being the recipient of the inaugural Chambers Choice Award which I learnt had been created for Erilan!
This Award means a great deal to me. A lot has happened since I was diagnosed with breast cancer 11 years. I started Erilan with a dream to help local women at a difficult time in their life. That dream also led to the establishment of an online store, enabling me to reach women all over Australia and even overseas. So winning this award has been like a ‘fairy-tale touch of magic’ – I never dreamt it would happen.
My family, co-workers and friends also share this award with me. Without them, this award would not have been possible as they are a constant source of encouragement and support.
This award inspires me to continue helping women to the best of my ability by offering choices and providing excellent service.
Even if I only help one woman today, it has been a day well spent.
