Managing Lymphoedema

Lymphoedema affects up to 30% of women after mastectomy. This swelling can cause heaviness and discomfort, and your doctor or therapist may recommend a compression garment to help give relief.

Erilan carries a wide range of lymphoedema garments, for all body areas, so if you cannot find what you need on our website please get in touch.

You need your garment to cover the whole affected area and give firm but comfortable pressure - it should feel snug.

If you want just a little bit of compression, our gentler options are great for relaxing at home, exercising, or layering under clothing.

Medical Grade Compression

This category includes out TGA-approved Class 1 compression bras, suitable for mild lymphoedema (Grade 1) - meaning they provide about 20mmHg pressure.

This includes the Amoena CuraLymph range:
Lymph Flow, and, Lymph Flow Long
- the difference between them is just how much of the torso they cover.
Anita's Lymph-o-Fit bra offers a similar level of compression.

A pressure pad can be used inside your clothing to give extra attention to problematic areas. We have small, large, or breast-shell shapes depending on where you need it, and these can be cut to size.

A compression arm sleeve is also helpful if you have swelling in the arm after lymph node dissection.

Light Compression

If your priority is comfort and gentle pressure to help prevent any fluid buildup, then you may not need a higher graded level of compression. Wide straps, flat edges, wide bands and soft breathable fabric are essential.

Best-sellers in our comfort range include Amoena's Linda, Leslie or Jackie bras.

If you want more coverage, the Liane top and leggings are a great option.

We even have compression swimwear options to support you in the water, whether for fun, exercise, or hydrotherapy.
