Medicare Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Scheme - A Guide

In 2009 The Commonwealth Government announced the national 'Medicare Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Scheme'.  This scheme is simple and convenient to use, no matter where you live in Australia.

The scheme allows women to claim the cost of a prosthesis every two years (up to the value of $400 per prosthesis), with all claims made through Medicare.
