To measure your head, place a measuring tape or string/wool around your head where the hat would sit. (This is generally around 1.5 centimetres above your eyebrows or 2.5 centimetres above your ears.) The tape should feel as you wish the hat to feel when wearing it i.e. not too tight or too loose. The length of this circumference is your hat size. Remember that hats can have internal comfy-fit or ties to adjust the size, which we have labelled where applicable. This allows you to choose a hat that can be 2cm-3cm larger than your head as it can be tightened to fit.

Material: 100% Natural Sustainable Madagascan Raffia
Rigon Headwear uses the very best Madagascan raffia which contains a top quality resin that repels water to prevent cracking and brittleness. Touch their raffia hats and feel the smooth, soft texture that speaks for itself. You can clearly feel the difference between this and other inferior raffia grades. Their raffia plants are supple and pliant. They hold and maintain their original shape, longevity and style for years to come. The Raffia weavers come from traditional weaving villages where work is limited and are supported to return to their villages at regular intervals throughout the year and also engage in piece work.
